About us
A compact recording studio in an Amsterdam warehouse — built for playing together, controlled vocals and offline mixing.
Why this studio exists
Nikausync started in 2019 when a circle of Amsterdam musicians noticed projects stalling on scheduling, not on ability. We wanted a place where you can lay a usable take within an afternoon, with someone at the desk who listens and steers.
We are not a label or management: we provide room, tech and files. What you do with them — release, sync, podcast feed — stays yours.
The rooms
Live room — 42 m²
Wood floor, drum isolation behind glass, sightline to control. Up to 6 players at once, each with an individual headphone mix.
Vocal booth — 12 m²
Isolated booth for vocals, rap, voice-over and dialogue. Several mics and pop filters ready; the engineer picks based on your voice.
Control room
Nearfield monitors, reference speakers and 32 inputs for live takes or stem import. Offline mixing happens here when booked.
How we work and price
Every session starts with a short check-in: tempo, references, what you want to leave with. Rates are on services; mixing and mastering are per song or EP. Unsure about time? See our band budget guide or contact.
Mix revisions: 2 rounds; mastering includes one free revision round as on mastering. Payment: 30 % deposit, balance per terms.
Team
Three regular faces, no rotating freelancers on the floor. Maarten de Vries coordinates planning and quotes; Sanne Bakker leads recording and mix; Noah Jansen is the contact for mastering and technical questions.
Want to know who runs your session? Ask in your request — we try to book the same engineer when you return.
Address and access
Nikausync B.V., Grote Bickersstraat 74, 1013 KS Amsterdam (Haarlemmerbuurt). From Amsterdam Centraal it is about a twelve-minute walk via Haarlemmerdijk; bus 22 serves Haarlemmerdijk (Bickersgracht stop). The entrance is on Grote Bickersstraat, next to the courtyard bike parking.
Hours: Monday–Friday 10:00–22:00, Saturday 11:00–18:00, closed Sunday. Sessions outside these hours on request. Parking nearby is limited; bike parking next to the entrance. Practical details on contact and FAQ.
- Engineer on the floor No self-service: every booked session has someone at the desk who watches takes and explains what you hear.
- Published rates Prices incl. and excl. VAT are online; every booking gets a written quote before you pay.
- Your material After full payment we deliver agreed files; sessions are kept 24 months per privacy policy.
